Job Description
Position Summary:
The Head of Kindergarten Department is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the kindergarten section, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education. This includes overseeing curriculum implementation, managing teaching staff, ensuring child safety and well-being, engaging with parents, and driving continuous improvement in line with the school’s vision and educational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide academic leadership and guidance to KG teachers, assistants, and support staff.
Develop, implement, and monitor age-appropriate curriculum and learning programs in accordance with national/international standards.
Observe and evaluate teaching practices, offering constructive feedback and professional development support.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children.
Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communication, meetings, and involvement in school activities.
Coordinate with school leadership to align KG goals with the overall educational strategy.
Manage classroom resources, schedules, and budgets effectively.
Monitor student progress and implement interventions where necessary.
Lead KG department meetings and collaborate with other department heads and administrative staff.
Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of child development and early learning pedagogies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to mentor and support a diverse team of educators.
Culturally sensitive with strong interpersonal skills to work with international and multicultural communities.
Turkish citizen is preferd
