Job Description

Position Summary:
The Head of Kindergarten Department is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the kindergarten section, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education. This includes overseeing curriculum implementation, managing teaching staff, ensuring child safety and well-being, engaging with parents, and driving continuous improvement in line with the school’s vision and educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic leadership and guidance to KG teachers, assistants, and support staff.

• Develop, implement, and monitor age-appropriate curriculum and learning programs in accordance with national/international standards.

• Observe and evaluate teaching practices, offering constructive feedback and professional development support.

• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children.

• Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communication, meetings, and involvement in school activities.

• Coordinate with school leadership to align KG goals with the overall educational strategy.

• Manage classroom resources, schedules, and budgets effectively.

• Monitor student progress and implement interventions where necessary.

• Lead KG department meetings and collaborate with other department heads and administrative staff.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of child development and early learning pedagogies.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Ability to mentor and support a diverse team of educators.

• Culturally sensitive with strong interpersonal skills to work with international and multicultural communities.

Turkish citizen is preferd
